Old design meme + Dark Souls 2 = New T Shirt!Just a funny idea I had based off an inside joke involving Dark Souls 2. Buy the shirt and wear it around town! You may confuse the hell out of everybody around you, but that one person who knows Dark Souls will stop and look at you, and that person may give you a subtle silent nod of approval.
And at that moment you will both know.Praise the sun.
By the way you can buy the shirt and see my other designs on my RedBubble page, I promise I will add more designs soon.http://www.redbubble.com/people/obsolution/works/12787130-bearer-seek-seek-lest

The Lame Game Marathon

(alternative title, one of the reasons I have not posted anything in a while)

I haven’t posted much work here in a while due to a lot of “real life” distractions, such as work, travelling, preparing to move internationally (again), that sort of thing. But one thing that I have been working on lately is a personal project that I have been collaborating with my brother for the last four years called the Lame Game Marathon.

The Lame Game Marathon is an annual charity videogame marathon where we livestream ourselves playing some of the worst videogames ever made, for 24 hours straight, all to raise money for UNICEF.

We’ve been hard at work preparing for our fourth marathon which will be happening over the weekend of November 15 and 16 (12pm to 12pm AEDT/UTC+11) and the whole thing will be broadcast live on Twitch for you to watch and laugh at our misery (also you can win prizes so thats cool).

It should be a lot of fun and it’s all for a good cause, so be sure to check it out, you can find out a whole lot more info via the links below:

maxing-and-prolapsing:

Patrick Miller is a wise and exemplary figure in the FGC, and if anyone out there is interested in learning how to play fighting games or taking that passive interest to the next level, READ THIS EBOOK HE WROTE. It’s free, it’s very clear, and it’s as user-friendly as it gets. I’ve never seen anything this concise and comprehensive in one neat little package.

Fighters are extremely tough to break into if you didn’t grow up on them. The FGC happens to be one of the most welcoming and friendly gaming communities out there, but that doesn’t really make it any easier for new players to absorb the MONOLITH of information pushed onto their lap in a single session. This thing is a treasure.

Solid wisdom

Been working on-and-off with a rough prototype to test my GameMaker skills, so I decided to make some art to go with it.This is Anvil, a surly blacksmith who has been robbed of all his tools bar his trusty anvil, and he intends to get them back. This is a scaled up version of the character, the original sprite is about 90x90px. This guy will be sliced up and then animated in Spine to bring him to life.
